Heading into the sixth week of the high school football season, games are starting to heat up.  Ensworth started the game off scoring at will on their first three possessions.  The Tigers jumped out to a 17-point lead in the first quarter.  MUS was running everything they had at Ensworth but kept coming up empty on every possession in the first half.  The Tiger’s defense had one fumble recovery and two interceptions and ran one of them back for a touchdown in the first half.

The Owls eventually scored in the Third Quarter, but not before the Tigers put up 30 points.  Ensworth showed out at home and let the league know they’re a force to be reckoned with.  The Ensworth Tigers won 40 to seven.

The Tigers Quarterback Levi Moore went 18/27 for 287 and three touchdowns while Jacob Page had five receptions for 145 yards. Hunter Barnes had 16 carries for 67 yards.

The Tiger’s Quarterback Levi Moore Said,” we’ve had great weeks of practice throughout the whole season, we trust each other a lot as a team, we’re able to just go out there and do whatever we’re able to do and execute to the best of our abilities.  It all just ends up working out on Fridays and game days.

Ensworth’s record is now (4-1), and they will travel to Auburndale to face St. Benedict next Friday while (3-2) MUS will play at home against Ridgeway next week.
