Playoffs Week One
Week one of the 2021 playoffs is in the books. While most of the results were expected some big upsets did take place including Jackson Northside over Kirby 14-13; Farragut over Science Hill in a defensive struggle 57-56 and Clarksville over Cane Ridge 33-27. Other games went pretty close to chalk as no Elite Eight teams fell.
There was a lot of discussion about so many teams with losing records being in the playoffs. Well, six of those are still alive and one (Nolensville) is playing as good as and ream in their bracket. it reminds us that anyone can be beaten on any given night.
There are some great matchups set up for Week 2 and below I have listed the games in each classification that I would love to be at. They are:
Division I
Class 1A: Clay County at South Pittsburg
Class 2A: Marion County at Watertown
Class 3A: Waverly at East Nashville
Class 4A; Pearl Cohn at Hardin County
Class 5A: McMinn County at Powell
Class 6A: Riverdale at Lebanon
Division II
Class 1A: Kings Academy at USJ
Class 2A: CAK at CPA
Class 3A: Baylor at MBA
