After all they are 3 sport stars who have played volleyball, basketball, and softball together since the sixth grade. They haven’t just played on their respective teams but have excelled at all three sports.

Not only are they great players but their coaches say they are even better young ladies. So much so that on this year’s Wilson Central Softball team Chloe and Kristen were voted number 1 and 2 for the Best Character Award. Their talent on the field is exceeded only by their exuberance for the games they play.

High school softball coach Kacy Pedigo commented; “They are Great Kids and I could not remember a better duo anywhere”. “They will be missed.” Chloe and Kristen are almost inseparable, but still very different. Chloe is the fireball and would run through a wall to catch a ball and steal every base while Kristen is the pitcher who wants to strike out every opposing batter and hit a home run every at bat. Kind of a “Fire and Ice” combination.

Coach Ricky Harman of their Bat Busters summer travel team added, “I am going to really miss these two girls. We have been together for six years and they have been an absolute joy to coach and be around. Kristen is one of the hardest workers I have ever seen, and Chloe is one the quickest and fastest players on the field every game. Their personalities are contagious, and they will excel in whatever path they take in the future.”

They are supported by their parents Chris and Heidi Smith who are always at the games with them. Mom puts more pictures on Facebook than anyone I have ever seen. The girls give all the credit to their parents for their success. Their most memorable game was at a state tournament softball game in Murfreesboro when in the last inning Chloe tied the game with a triple and Kristen hit a home run to win the game.

The girls will be graduating soon with a 4.2 GPA and as Co- Magna Cum Laude. In the fall they will be attending NAIA softball power “The University of the Cumberland’s” in Kentucky on a full scholarship. Enjoy them while you can but keep an eye on them in the future. These are two very special ladies. Congratulations Chloe and Kristen!

Check out their bio’s below.

Cloe Smith Will be graduating Magna Cum Laude with a 4.2 grade point average from Wilson Central High School and has been enrolled as a dual enrollment student at Cumberland University for the past two years.
