Hopefully we can help promote those\nstudent athletes who might not get the recognition that others do but are just\nas important to their teams as the 5-star athlete that is talked about every\nweek. All<\/u><\/b> sports, girls and boys will be considered.\n\n\n\nOur first Spotlight player of the week is Bryce Currie<\/u><\/b> of\nSmith County High. A terrific runner and hard-hitting linebacker Bryce has been\nan important part of the football team\u2019s success the last four years.\n\nCoach Matt Dyer says, \u201cBryce is a player you love to coach. He is a leader\non and off the field who expects the best from himself and his teammates on\nevery play. He is an excellent student athlete with a GPA just under 4.0 with a\nhigh ACT score. He is a young man who everyone loves including the little kids.\nI just wish I could coach him four more years.\u201d\n\nBelow is a list of just some of his accomplishments\n\n:\u00b7\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Bryce and his teammates went undefeated in Class 3A, Region 5 with a 4-0 record and finished the regular season 9-1<\/strong>\n\n.\u00b7\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>The Owls made it all the way to the quarterfinals of the playoffs before losing in the quarterfinals to eventual<\/strong>\nstate runner up Nashville East.<\/strong>\n
