Division 1<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Class 1A<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oliver Springs over Coalfield- What the heck. Let\u2019s go with the upset right off the top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gordonsville over Clay Co- Repeat of a great regular season game but the Tigers come out on top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fayetteville over McKenzie- Great games with two great teams. I\u2019d like to watch this one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mase over Peabody.- Close game but speed prevails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Notes: Maybe the best Quarterfinal games of any division in Division 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Class 2A<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Monterey over York. Great run by York but it ends on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tyner over East Robertson: Tyner will be just a little better with lots more playoff experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Riverside over Lewis Co.: Riverside has been ranked all year. They continue the journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Huntingdon over Union City: Too old rivals. Flip a coin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Notes: Whoever wins, the semifinals will be great this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3A<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alcoa over Pittman: What a season for Pittman but well\u2026 this is Alcoa (who should be in 5A).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Giles Co over Sweetwater; Giles Co on a roll. They will advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Covington over Dyersburg: Covington vs Alcoa in the finals? Maybe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
East Nashville over Smith Co: Another one point game as it was in the regular season? We may get that again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Notes: Alcoa will have no cake walk getting into to the Championship game this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4A<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anderson Co over Greenville: Two unbeaten teams. Anderson Co just because they play at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Red Bank over East Hamilton: There is football fever in Hamilton County. I like Red Bank\u2019s offense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pearl Cohn over Lexington: Firebirds with 92 points in two games have too much firepower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Haywood over Milan: I love Bulldog football, but Haywood is number one for a reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Notes: East Tennessee and West Tennessee will be rocking Friday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
5A<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Knoxville West over Daniel Boone; Two unbeatens battle but West has played a tougher schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Powell over Oak Ridge: Defending champs have been on a roll since struggling out of the gate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Page over Nolensville: Another repeat of a great regular season game. It\u2019s Page\u2019s turn this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Springfield over Henry Co: I have been on Henry\u2019s bandwagon all year, but Springfield is hungry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Notes: There are great teams in 5A this year. It\u2019s a shame any have to lose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
6A<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maryville over Science Hill: Great run on the Hill but Maryville goes back to the semifinals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oakland over Blackman: The Blaze really stepped it up this year but it\u2019s Oakland man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Beech over Cane Ridge: Beech is as fundamentally sound as anyone I have seen. They win in a squeaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bartlett over Germantown: Revenge can be a great motivator. Two really good teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Notes: Could we see another Maryville\/ Oakland semifinal?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Division 2 (Semifinals)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Class A<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Friendship over USJ: #1 vs #2. FCS only because they are the home team and DCA woke them up last night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nashville Christian over Jackson Christian. NCA has come on strong late.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Notes: At the end of the night the winners both could be form Jackson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Class AA<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CPA over Chattanooga Christian: Hey, they beat Oakland didn’t they?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lipscomb over Lausanne: Can anyone stop the \u201cL\u201d train? NO!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Notes: I bet the other teams are glad Lipscomb is moving up next year. Will the OVC be the next step?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Class AAA<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MBA over McCallie: MBA beat them once. They will do it again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
BA over Baylor: BA has taken it to another level. i like them at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
