As per usual this game contained its fair share of chaos as before the game even started both teams had to wait 45 minutes for lightning to clear the area. When the lightning cleared and the game began each team got out to a rocky start as Franklin went 3 and out on their first drive and Ravenwood began the game by tossing an interception to the Franklin defense.

On their second drive franklin’s offense looked to be stalling again, but 2 timely late down conversions and good use
of the clock put the admirals in position to make a field goal to make the game 3-0 in the second quarter. Ravenwood was having none of that as they took the kickoff back 98 yards and punched it in the very next play to make it 7-3 Raptors. The Admirals special teams fired back with a return to midfield of their own, but the offense rendered ineffective and the admirals went 3 and out and punted back to the Raptors. The Raptors proceeded to drive the football down the field with relative ease, Ravenwood QB Chris Parson made an incredible play to convert a long touchdown but the play ended up being called back for illegal touching. Ravenwood settled for a FG making it 10-3 Raptors.

The Admirals came back firing with an aggressive passing attack as QB Brewer Wilson hit Cooper Brown for a 46 yard gain, the admirals converted 2 third downs on the drive and had the ball deep in raptor territory, the raptors were able to get the admirals in a 3rd down scenario due to a fumbled snap which led to a raptors 3rd down sack and that brought
up 4th down, the admirals converted on a field goal to make it 10-6 right before half. Ravenwood drove the ball down the field before the break but were unable to convert on a 40+ yard field goal as time expired in the half.

Then the unexpected wrinkles in this game began. As halftime hit so did the thunderstorms and the game ended up being postponed until Saturday afternoon. This delay proved to be crippling for the admirals. As the second half began the
raptor offense began to dominate the game as Chris Parson punched in his first rushing TD of the game. 17-6 Raptors. The Ravenwood defense forced a 3 and out, and they drove back down and Parson ran it in for another score. 24-6 Raptors. The Admirals showed some life as they drove back down the field, but a costly penalty helped the Raptors get a goal line stop to
keep it at 24-6. Ravenwood got the ball back and got into a 4th down situation, but Parson used his legs again to convert a Raptor first down, this led to another Ravenwood score and the nail in the coffin as Parson tossed a 35 yard TD pass off a bad snap. Franklin went 3 and out again, and Ravenwood ran the clock out from there.
