The rumors were correct. This game definitely lived up to the hype in Murfreesboro. It was a rushing attack by both teams the entire game. The Oakland Patriots on their first possession scored and once they got into the in zone, they didn’t stop. Riverdale kept the game close in the beginning of the match but slowly started to see the game drift away from them. After the first quarter of the game, the score was nine to seven and a close one for both teams. The Patriots found their way into the end zone a couple more times, but their lead was too far for The Warriors to catch-up. The Warriors had more total offensive yards, but Oakland’s defense came in clutch when needed. Oakland keeps the undefeated season alive and gives Riverdale their second loss of the season.
The Oakland Patriots had all the highlights. Quarterback Ian Schlacter was 5/9 for 89 yards with one touchdown and zero interceptions. Jordan James had 15 carries for 149 yards and two touchdowns. Isaiah Horton had two receptions for 35 yards and one touchdown.
Riverdale is now (6-2) and getting ready to get a win over Warren County next Friday while (9-0) Oakland gets ready to go (10-0) on the season against Coffee County Central next Friday.
