From the kick-off of the game, this was going to be a high scoring contest in Nashville.  Both teams coming off wins from the previous week; they were both fired up for this game, each team hoping to continue the streak.  The game came down to the last five seconds of the match as Pope John Paul took home the win with a last-minute score.  While MBA was given their first loss of the season.

The Knight’s Quarterback Kenny Minchey was 23/30 for 300 yards with two touchdowns and one interception, while Colin Cook had four receptions for 105 yards.  Patrick Wilk for The Big Red had 16 carries for 117 yards for three touchdowns. 

MBA Head Coach Marty Euverard said, “We just had too many mistakes, and we played a really good football team.  We turned it over twice and couldn’t get off the field on third down.”

MBA’s record is now (3-1) as they go back to work next Friday against Brentwood Academy while (6-1) Pope John Paul prepares for Memphis University next Friday.
