The semifinals Friday night had some wild games and surprising results. The biggest winner Friday night was the Midstate, where they had 6 winners out of the 7 teams playing. That gave them a total of 11 participants out of the 18 teams playing in the championship games next week. East Tennessee has 5 schools playing for the gold ball while West Tennessee only has 2 teams: 1A McKenzie and 2A Riverside.

McKenzie 34, MASE 0 – A Shocker. Not for who won but for the margin of victory

Tyner Academy 33, York Institute 0 – Tyner is just too strong.

Riverside 26, Huntingdon 13 – Riverside easier than expected.

Alcoa 38, Giles Co. 13 – Ho Hum.

East Nashville 41, Covington 15 – Wow! Didn’t see that coming.
