Article Lebanon VS. Riverdale
Both teams coming into the second round, they are ten and one and need a victory to keep their season alive. The warriors came out strong to start the game off by getting 10 straight points. The Blue Devils came storming back and scored two touchdowns to end the half.
Riverdale received the ball to start the second half off and scored, to retake the lead. Lebanon gathered themselves and they believed they could win this game. The Blue devils went downfield in the fourth quarter and scored again. The Blue Devils defense forced a safety and the Warriors had to punt. Lebanon’s offense went down the field and ran the ball into the in zone. For the first time in their football program, that they won eleven games in a season. This was a huge accomplishment for this team.
Lebanon’s Quarterback Jaylen Abston and Riverdale’s Quarterback Jameson Halcomb were the stars of this game. Jaylen threw over 150 yards and four touchdowns while Jameson threw over 100 yards and two touchdowns.
The Blue Devils Quarterback said,” we knew that both defenses would come in hard and when we got that one stop that got the energy going. When De’Wayne Brown got that pick that’s what got the offense started.
Lebanon faces the undefeated Oakland at home next week, Riverdale is out of the playoffs.
